  1. The last few SVCD movies that I've burned plays fine back in my computer but when i play it back in my APEX AD-1500, half the screen is in black and white and the other half is Colored. I know it can play back svcds because i have burned many others before with no problems. Can Someone please offer any help. I think it's NTSC/PAL problem but i can't narrow it down. For example one of the movie properties are:

Audio format: MPEG Layer-3,96 kBit/s, 48,000 Hz, Stereo
    Video format: 720 x 288, 24 Bits, 186298 Frames, 23.976 Frames/Sec, 99 KB/Sec, DIVXMPG4 V3

    another:
Audio format: MPEG Layer-3,157 kBit/s, 48,000 Hz, Stereo
    Video format: 576 x 240, 24 Bits, 153655 Frames, 23.976 Frames/Sec, 108 KB/Sec, DIVXMPG4 V3

I use the latest nero to burn and TMPEG to convert

    THANK YOU.

  2. It's probably a PAL/NTSC thing, but those clips are so far removed from the SVCD format you might as well make VCDs. SVCD is only better if the vertical resolution is over 288. Typically 480 or 576.

  3. Thanks alot. I'll keep it in mid for future use.
I tried the vcd but same darn problem. Anyway I'll sure that it's no longer a pal/ntsc but a vertical/horizantal resolution problem.
