HELP, AVI download

i just downloaded a AVI movie on kazza, it wont work, i put it on Divx and zoom player and it came up blank, and when i put it on divx it said it was loading and a was wateing forever, and still it wont work. and it is the movie, caz when i downloaded it all of the data was there, and i looked it up to see if all of it was there and it was, what do i do, please help me PLEASE

Im having the same problem with a DiVX i downloaded from KaZaA. The movie was split into two files. On the first file, there is a green screen for a few seconds and then the rest of the "movie" is black.. the second file is also black the entire movie. I've tried to play it in divx playa, windows media player, ATI player, real player, and winDVD. I then tried updating my divx codec and even video drivers, but nothing helped.

First make sure you have the codec's

Next make sure you have the fake codec for the fake movies

Sounds very much like you downloaded a fake, you would be better off using a verified movie than searching for them
