After got the best setting for my system, I try to cap satellite tv program up to one hour. Nothing wrong with the clips, but after encoding to mpeg with TMPGEnc, the output file only have audio for about 2 minutes.....WHY.....??????

If you capture to AVI from Virtual Dub (VDub) and then convert to TMPGEnc, remember to do the following ALWAYS:

Run the captured video through VDub's Video-->Scan video stream for errors. If there are any junk frames, remove them before continuing.

Save the audio from the AVI file as a .wav file.

Rather frameserving or direct encoding using VDub/TMPGEnc, load the original video as video input, and the .wav file as the audio input, select your teplate and encode.

    Yepp, no error detected.

Thanks... I'll try this afterwards.....but, if I'm not mistaken, I read somebody did this having problem with audio sync and need to use the interleaving etc to correct the problem. But, I'll tell you after trying your suggestion.

    Thanks alot...!!!
