Hi,
How does SpruceUp work with the Pioneer DVD-A03? I am thinking about using it...
Also, i have heard many people saying that they can only find DVD-r for about 13 bucks.... I found them for 8 bucks on shop.yahoo.com They have DVD-RW for 16...

Spruce Up works fine.
I just burn two coasters with Sonic's DVDit!LE, and their MY DVD. Thank God for DVD-RW. If you wanted to use Sonic's software go through the steps of creating a DVD Folder, and hold down control when clicking the OK button. This will create a disc image which is then burnt with Primo DVD. -
So can a DVD-RW drive also write on DVD-R.
I wonder since a CD-RW can also write CD-R -
"shop.yahoo.com They have DVD-RW for 16..."
Be careful about no-name brand DVD-RW discs.
I bought two which work great on computer DVD drives, but not on ANY set top DVD player - and I tried about 15 set tops.
Finally got a Pioneer DVD-RW disc and it played on 3 of 4 set tops I tried.
Also, there is a rumor that Apple has halted distribution and sale of Spruce up for Windows. -
Spruce Up was bought, or closed, by apple. That suck's because Sonic isn't close to being as powerfull as Spruce Up.
The Pioneer writes DVD-R, DVD-RW, CDR, and CDRW. In the US it includes Primo's DVD burning software, Cyberlink's Power DVD 3.0, and Sonic's My DVD (just like DVDit!LE without as many background pictures).
In other countries I think they replaced Primo with Instant CD.
The DVD-RW isn't supossed to be played on set tops. Your lucky if it worked. The DVD-R will play on all models made during and after 2000.
Leebo, what brand of DVD player did you get your DVD-RW to play on? -
The Panasonic RV31U-K and the Pioneer 343 both played the Pioneer branded DVD-RW disc, but not the unbranded disc.
Another player played the disc, but I don't remember which one it was. -
That 16 dollar disc i was talking about was TDK, is that not a good brand?

Whats up with Spruce Up? I was just at there website, it seems to be normal...

TDK should be fine. Where did you find that price???
Download and install SpruceUp, then try to register it.
You'll get a message from Apple. -
Hey,
Oh im 15, i dont register expensive applications... thanks bear shear and keygens! -
DVD-RW is designed to be played back on stand alone DVD players, it was created by Pioneer for their forthcoming stand alone DVD Recorders but licenced to other manufacturers as well. The phase change burning process it uses isn't quite as compatible as DVD-R but should still play on most stand alone players. I have tested a number of DVD-RW discs on various players belonging to friends and in stores, and so far very few players have spat the disc out. Most play fine, but be aware, not all will, especially if the player is more than a year or so old.
The latest version of SpruceUp burns directly to my Pioneer DVR-A03 with no problems at all. I've used Pioneer, TDK and Mitsui media and never had a problem. All three brands play fine on all players that can cope with DVD-R or DVD-RW. I have never used unbranded DVD-RW because I wasn't aware there was such a thing yet.
I heard Apple had bought Spruce but they still allowed me to upgrade from SpruceUP to DVDVirtuoso even after it was stated they had been bought.
