edit svcd mpeg´s with m2-edit pro

I have a 3 disc svcd movie which i would like to join into one.
Since the cut´s between the three discs isn´t exact i want to join them at a specific frame.
I´ve copied the mpegs to the hdd but when i try to open them in m2-edit pro (trial) it says "file d:\*****.mpg does not contain valid mpeg."
The discs and files play well in powerdvd.
Please help.
