Hi there,
I'm experiencing some strange behaviour when capturing from my VCR. The setup is the following:
- TV Card: Pinnacle PCTV Pro
- VGA Card: Matrox Millennium G450
- VCR SCART output connected to PCTV composite input.
- Playback works fine with all software, from VirtualDub to WinDVR, and with all formats.
- CPU: Athlon Thunderbird 1333 MHz
- Memory: 374 MB
- Disk: 40GB Maxtor 7200 rpm, ATA/100
Now the strange thing: I CAN ONLY DO CORRECT CAPTURES WITH ORIGINAL TAPES!!! When I use my own home made, recorded with this VCR, I experience frame drops, horizontal lines, etc.. With home made tapes I can only do VCD; with original ones I can even do DVD!!!
Can anyone help me here? This really puzzles me, because I guess that the signal sent from the original "Star Wars: Phantom Manace" tape (for example), isn't diferent from the one sent from my TV recordings!
Thanks in advance,
Cirruz
