  1. I have encoded an NTSC cvd (1/2 D1, 352,480 48khz audio), using dvd2svcd and CCE 2.5 (VBR single pass).
The source is an NTSC DivX avi.
I am authoring using Ulead DVD Workshop.
Prior to this I have let DVD workshop encode the DivX to Pal as I reside in the UK.
However the frame rate conversion was less than great. So I have opted to retain the NTSC video.
Everything is fine until I reach the make Disc stage in DVD Workshop.
I recieve an error, "MPEG audio is not a standard audio type for a NTSC DVD". I then proceeded with the burn.
The Resultant DVD plays ok in my stand alone player (Wharfedale M5, with Creative 5x pc dvd loader).
Will this DVD play in other pal standalone players such as the PS2, or is there another way I should be encoding the audio prior to authoring?
I have read somewhere that the audio should be wav for NTSC.
    Is this correct?
If so how do I create this wav and author it?
    Thanks.

  2. After a bit of a search it seems that DVD Workshop is unable to accept fully complient NTSC DVD input (Mpeg2 and AC-3{wav} audio).
    It only accepts mpeg streams.
This does not seem to be a problem on my standalone player.
Is this true for all boxes?
