  1. I been reading this forum for about a year now and haven't ran into anyone
using CL's Moviemaker USB capture device. I have one and it works very
well capturing directly to MPEG1 and 2. However, If I capture a movie for
instance. Maybe 90 minutes or so I have varying results when attempting to
cut the MPEG1/2 into 2 slices for VCD or SVCD. I've used many different
apps to cut but mostly use Tmpgenc. Nothing seems to help when cutting the original files from this device. It seems to be hit and miss. I can sometimes just re-record the original the same way and it cuts just fine with Tmpgenc.
Most users on this forum seem to address the source as AVI and I've even considered demuxing the MPEG1/2, converting the .mp2 into WAV, converting the video into AVI and then re-encoding through Tmpgenc, etc, etc.
Help, I need someone else in my shoes to give me some advice. Thanks alot in advance.

Cyberlinks PowerVCR II v3 does a good job cutting MPEG2s captured from the CL VB Moviemaker.
