  1. I've been ripping files and encoding with DVD2SVCD, I'm then left with both mpg's and Bin's & Cue's, now as far as I am aware the mpg's don't have the chapters on them, but the Bin files do. but is it possible to burn the Bin's with VCDEasy ?

    and if so how ?

at the moment I'm using the Chapters option to convert the mpg's in VCDEasy and then it automatically burns them !!

If I try burning the Bin files in Nero, the file sizes come out bigger than if I create a SVCD using the mpg !

All help appreciated, as to whether this is possible, and if it's the best way to do things.

  2. The bin and cue files are what you need to make the CD. Think of them as an image of your VCD that the burning programs can burn. Once you have that you don't need the mpegs anymore to make your VCD.

Best program for burning them is probably CDRWin, though I believe the CDRDAO program that comes free with VCDEasy will also do it if your system is supported. As I recall, Nero has problems with bin and cue files.

The size of the (S)VCD bin file is gonna be larger than the combined size of your mpegs. There's some overhead that goes with it.

  3. In VCDEasy, open program, select TOOLS, then the TAB CDRDAO. Half way down, browse to load your bin file. Hit burn.
