Does it work in a DVD player ?
Sounds like the old days when a disk made with one burner would make CD-R's that would not work on another drive. There were programs that helped, like the session selector that comes with burning softwear (Easy Cd Creator)

Was Nero used to make the disk ?, Nero also supports the so-called XA-Format for ISO data. The XA format is an extension of ISO structures and can only be burned onto the CD in Mode 2

The latest CD-ROM drives can easily read Mode 1 and Mode 2. However there are still some drives around that cannot read the Mode 1 CDs correctly.

Owners of these older drives are advised to write data in the Mode2
