  1. Noone seems to help me in the newbie forum, so I'm trying in this topic.

I'm trying to burn a VCD for my new Denver 332 DVD player. I'm still not sure the player supports VCD, anyway...
I'm using files encoded in 352 X 288 pal (My player is European) and burning with WinOnCD.
The final VCD contains a few folders with some bin-files and a folder with all the VCD-files with .dat extension, but my DVD player doesn't want to play the VCD.

What is wrong then and how do I solve the problem?

I'm thinking of trying to burn a normal CD-R with the video1-mpegs on (.mpg extention) without any folders, but I'm not sure that's the right way.
My DVD player can play MP3 files from folders without any problems, but maybe the VCD-files need to be named .MPG???

    Please help.

    Cheers

  2. If you burned a VCD and your player doesnt play it then that means that your player doesn't support VCD, or your player cant read the media your using. Try burning to a CD-R/W or a different brand and see if it plays. If not, then your player doesnt support VCD.

You could try just burning the mpegs, some players support this, like mine (apex ad-1100w).

Try it and let me know what happens.

  4. I don't have anymore ideas.
I've also burned a photo-CD, but the player spits the CD out after a few seconds. But if anyone comes up with some good ideas, then please let me know.

  7. hello all together

i have bought yesterday the 332 and it is able to play svcd,vcd,xvcd...

but you have to make it codefree.
    do the following:
    switch it on
    open the dvd-tray.
press 1555 and then enter on your remote control

    and the 332 plays everything!

    regards

  8. Sorry my fingers were drunken. The right code is 119 instead of 1555. Then you can play every svcd, vcd, xvcd.....
