hi i downloded signs film avi file.not the best of quality but i would like to remove (do not duplicate this film) from the bottom of the screen if possible.i am not converting to vcd as i am putting straight to vhs.i have read as much as i can to see if there is a way of doing this but found no luck.is there any software that can do this please? thanks ian

Yes Vdub

Use
Video > full processing mode
Video > Filters > Null transform > OK > Cropping

Use resize filter also, if you wish to return to original size with black borders
