the movie im trying to rip is Showtime, i used SmartRipper 2.41 , DVD2AVI 1.85, TMPGEnc-2.57.41.146-Plus, VCD EASY. ive made a few other vcds in the past month or so using the same programs and settings for every other movie but the movie turns out to be choppy in a scene where the actors move fast, i had this problem at first i just adjusted the svcd to NTSC FILM, but this time its not working, the movie is only in 4:3 screen not sure if that a problem or not, ive mostly only done widescreen movies on svcd lately.
thx

Try changing the interlace in TMPGEnc to non-internlace or the other way around and encode only 30 sec to see if it solves the problem.
I had this problem with BlackAdder -
Im having the same trouble with a few of mines. I encoded using tmp and half the film from dusk till dawn is fine but the second half using the exact same settings is a bit jerky on the panning scenes.
Im a bit annoyed at this and have tried various settings.
is ther a program that tells u the exact content of the film your encoding like res, interlaced or not , fps etc??
thanx for any help in advance
