Before deleting all references to Ravisent, I always dropped 12 frames at startup and none afterward, at least assuming MMC 7.6 is accurately reflecting frame count numbers - anyone got any input on this?
After deletion, now I only drop 5 frames at startup. Using my LAM (Long Ass Method), audio synch is OK, but I am attempting to get Real-time SVCD to work without audio drift. First tests indicate drift is still a problem, BUT I am having success with the on-the-fly IVTC and getting some very good looking video with impressive filesizes. (90 minutes in 900 MB, 480x480 at 2.4 Mbit/sec). Minor, infrequent pixelation, NO macroblocking, just that blankety-blank audio drift. I will try VCD settings, although I just don't like the quality.
Anyone having success with real-time SVCD caps with ATI, please send me some of your magic pixie dust.
