It doesn't sound like XVCD is a standard, but I've noticed a lot of DVD players "support" it...so I've been trying something and I'm wondering how supportable it is.
I've been recording at 1600 bps video & 128 kbps audio at the standard VCD resolution. This provides a good picture & audio (on 2 CDs), but I realize the bitrates are all non-standard.
Will DVD players have a problem with this? I'm currently playing everything from my laptop & haven't sprung for a DVD player (still waiting for decent MP3 support on 'em). If I get positive feedback I'll burn one & see if it works on a friend's Panasonic which supposedly supports up over 2kbps.
Thanks!
