Hello there,
I have ahad my dvd burner for a few weeks and have been trying to create my first dvd backup. I have posted a few topics here and there and have had some very good help. I have created a .mpg2 file that I can burn with Ulead Moviefacotry but the sound quality is very poor. Let me run down my system so you know what I have done.
1. Ripp with Smart ripper demuxing separate video and audio streams.
2. Reencoding video if needed using Rempg
3. Using DVD to Avi to create .wav file.
4. Using Tmpg with dvd nts template loaded to create compleint dvd file.
Here is where my problem happens. Moviefacotry only supports .mpg, .mp3, and .wav audio streams. The final file spit out by Tmpg with .mpeg audio looks great but has very poor sound quality. It is hissy and sounds a bit like a poorly encoded mp3 file. I have created vcds and svcds using Tmpg in the past and never ran into this problem.
I then author and burn with Ulead Moviefacotry.
Does anyone have any suggestions to clean up the sound. It seems pointless to create dvds with poor sound. I would really like some help with this matter. I have read many threads throughout this site but just can not find any answers. thanks in advance.
