Am looking for "how-to" information on converting some of my DVD's to VHS.

Well if you have a macrovision hack or chip installed in your DVD then you just connect the DVD to the VHS, press play on the DVD and record on the VHS.

Certain models of apex players/general electric dvd players can have their bios flashed to open them up to turn off the macrovision protection. Without knowing what type of dvd player you have, I can't really say. Also, I had an old RCA dvd player (only played dvds and store bought cds; nothing else) and an older rca vhs. I was able to record from the dvd to vhs with not one problem. This all changed when I tried a different vcr (newer). Just try plugging the dvd player into your vcr and test the results. You might just get lucky.
