  1. I am so confused by all this!!!!!!!!!!

I converted an MPEG1, off a VCD I had made, to DVD using TMPGEnc.
I now have an MPEG movie on my machine, no .BUP .IFO .VOB files

I wish to burn this to a DVDrw
    I have Nero and VCDeasy

I have looked at the instructions on burning DVD with Nero on here and am confused, it says
'you must have authored the DVD video first'

Do i realy need to creat chapters or something else?
will this produce the required .BUP .IFO .VOB file?

I feel I may be trying to run before i can walk
    I will never learn

  2. You do need to run it through a dvd authoring program to produce a dvd title set. I would suggest Spruceup it's probably the easiest. You don't have to put chapters or menus on the dvd though.

In addition to optional menus and chapter points, authoring adds the necessary navigation data to a DVD. Without this nav data, a DVD has no hope of working.
