i really need help. i downloaded an .avi -file via an edonkey-link from sharereactor. now i tried to convert it into an .mpeg-file, but whatever i try, im really in trouble with the audio part.
it was only possible to extract the audio stream with VitualDub, if i dont change the quality. so its in 48kHz, 8 bit, stereo. but none of my media-players can open or play this audio file. the only tool that can handle with it is TMPGEnc, but when i created a sample vcd-file the audio stream was very fragmentated (?) and hardly understandable.
im not sure if maybe it is an ac3 file, but would this explain any of this?
please help me
thanks
