    I have been at trying to convert a DVD to a SVCD on the MAC for more than a year without success. I have read every article in the forum and I have every tool on the planet but I can't seem to get it right.

    Seems to be the closest but it assumes as do every tool available for MAC that you have a .MOV. I don't, I have a .VOB that was extracted from the DVD.

    Can someone please explain in this forum or direct me to a link that gives Newbie type, step by step directions for going from DVD to SVCD ?

    Try in MediaPipe forum. A lot of people has done their own SVCD without problems.
