  1. i used the search feature on this and looked around the site for a guide but came up with nothing. I have an xvid that I would like to convert to vcd. I was able to rip the sound as usual with virtualdub and everything was fine there and tmpg opens the avi but it must not work with xvid because when I would set source range there would be no picture. Also when it would start the encode it would error out right away. I am using tmpgenc 2.56 by the way. My question is, is it possible to convert xvid to vcd with tmpgenc and if not is there another set of tools around that will do it. Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldnt find anything on it and really wanted to know

    thanx

just did one of these yesterday. you need an xvid codec and then you will have to frameserve it to tmpg
