I've found that you can do deinterlacing of AVI videos in either TMPGEnc 2.55 or VirtualDub 1.4.10. Traditionally I've used the filter in VirtualDub, but when I tried the TMPGEnc's filter both videos looked very similar.
Am I wasting my time doing it in VirtualDub instead? It's much faster in TMPGEnc when I have to deinterlace a large video. Does anyone have any definitive answers on which program does the best deinterlacing job?
Thanks.
Bryan
