  1. I have got a svcd that is new and i extracted the mpg file from the .bin file and opened it in powerdvd and media player and the sound is very choppy and there is no video. i have played other svcd's before like spiderman, this one is austin powers in goldmember. What's wrong do i need a new codec or what? I used winiso to extract the mpg file. Is the image just bad?

    Hi
U dont need to extract anything to play SVCD in PowerDVD. U click on "select source" in the onscreen remote control. Then u should see your SCVD listed next to the drive letter of your DVD drive. Just click on that and it should play automatically. If u have nothing else in your media lists it may play direct from the play button.
    Cheers
