It's a 120 gig 7,200rpm drive for 80 dollars. Its made by IBM, is it worth buying?

  2. Seems like a good price to me. I bought one a few months ago when they were still pretty new and it cost me over £300, just bought another one the other week for £100.

  3. I just checked the link you supplied, that is not a 120GB it is an 80GB. The 120GXP is the model range number. So not quite as good a deal as I first thought. Still pretty reasonable though.

Buy a Western digital or Seagate disk instead. I've heard from a lot of who have IBM disks that they have crashed and with the new IBM disk ibm recommend you not to have the computer on longer the 8h in a day.

  5. Well I have 2 of them and have not had a problem so far (fingers crossed). My pc is on 24/7, they are fan cooled though.
