    i made a home movie several years ago on Hi 8 format.

    i downloaded the movie to my computer via a digital camera and then used Nero to burn a VCD. The movie has only music, no dialogue.

    it plays fine on my DVD player but i noticed that the music is off by a couple of seconds and is not in sync with the rest of the movie.

    any ideas on how to correct this?

    Based on information you provided, I suggest demux your video and audio streams, then remux them with proper video/audio offset with BBMPEG.
