Is there anyway to rip a PAL DVD and change it to NTSC to reburn it on a DVD-R.

I found out that my player can convert PAL to NTSC perfectly, and that there is a region changing hack for my player (Philips DVD953).

However, some of the import DVDs I am planning to buy, my friends would like to have a copy of. However, they are restricted to Region 1, NTSC.

Is there a solution. There doesn't seem to be a guide for this, but maybe I'm wrong.
