  2. I had a similar problem with a panasonic dvd standalone. After reading some posts here, I found that if you do a simple multiplex in TMPGEnc with your mpeg file as both video and audio input, and output to a different file name. When you load the mpeg, it will automatically set the Type to mpeg-2 program (VBR). Change this to mpeg-1 VCD, then remux. It worked for my panasonic, but I have read other posts where it didn't work for some stand-alones.

  3. well... i checked the software DVD Play compatibility list and my player was listed as not being able to play SVCD's! ARG is this true!!!!!!

  4. Well if you say you can't play it and the compatibility list says you can't then yes. You maybe able to trick it into thinking it is a VCD by giving the SVCD VCD headers.

  5. ok i have a question! When i use VCDEasy to burn the stuff, it asks me what i want the format of the Cd to be in
    Choices
    VCD 1.1
    VCD 2.0
    SVCD
Which should i tell it? I mean it really is a SVCD but i am trying to get my player to think its a VCD. Hmm maybe ill just try both.
Oh btw, i tried an SVCD trick and audio is fine and everything, but whenever there is camera motion or character motion it seems a bit choppy. Can anyone reccomend anything!
What would happen if i lowered the bitrate on the video? (Some guy suggested that i try this)
