Playback problem with dvd+r dvd rip

I have burnt a couple of ritek dvd+r discs that work fine in my pc dvd rom, but I get a read error in my stand alone dvd player. the hp media works fine, nero asked me something about burning it at multisession or not, i tried both, again both work fine on my pc, but not on my player.
any help out there?

Just a guess, but sounds like your player doesn't like the cheap media. Nothin you can do except get a player that will use cheap media, or keep using the better stuff.

On a side note, the Ritek isn't even THAT much cheaper with +R yet, is it? How much did you pay per disc? Where'd you get it?

the media works when using a dvd-5 only dvd-9 wont work(when i split the of course) you can get ritek for about 2.50 each, or on ebay for as low as 3.20
