I've been encoding for awhile, and lately been having a minor problem. My movies have been experiencing this purple haze after encoding. It pops in and out. If someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong, I would be appreciative. I use TMPGenc under reg. video-cd settings

what source are these movies you're encoding taken from? the source files might be dodgy. oh, and should'nt you have titled this question "purple haze" instead of "purple rain"? a more appropriate song title i think!

  3. Thought i was the only one with the problem. So far, seen three of us. I didn't have this problem till i installed the latest version of TMPGEnc. Even affect Virtualdub now. Also get purple haze that pops on and off at annoying intervals. Even with a good quality film like a dvd rip. Need help badly men.

  4. Found the solution Hate...Game. Go to environment setting and plugin section. Make sure Directshow is brought to the top by right clicking and choosing higher priority until it is first. Take TMPGEnc next and i think the rest can stay where they are.
Should work now without the purple haze (rain?)
