    Hi,
I just received my Pioneer 104 DVD burner from the US. If you go to esbuy.com, they have them there for US$254 (bare drive only). Esbuy charged me US$44 to ship it here but all up it cost me ~AU$550 including shipping. You should be able to get the drive through customs without needing to pay duty at that price (I didn't get charged). All up it took around 12 days via regular post. They will send via US postal service and you will still be able to track it.
Apple centres have DVD-R's for $55 for a box of 5 or go to www.iswh.com.au where you can get Pioneer disks for the same.

  4. How did you pay for it? Did u give them your credit card online or did u pay for it when it was delivered. I am just not too sure about giving my credit card number.

    no worries.... 8)

BTW, the cheapest I've seen them here in Australia is around the $850 mark so the US$44 postage passed my "will I do it" test (either that or pay US$110 for UPS.....which, from my experience, is the only method of delivery Americans are willing to use.).....and they are the same drives they sell here anyway.....hey, now there's an idea....
