  1. when I hit start frameserve and the box comes up and I hit start, should I have to hit "stop frameserve"?

How long does it take to frameserve? All I get is a 1kb file.

    Please help.

  2. You need to open your 1k frameserve file with encoding software such as tmpgenc. You don't stop frameserving until you have finished encoding.

  3. The 1kb file I get that I have saved, will not open or load into TMPGEnc. It says cannot open or file type unsupported.

Is this because I have hit stop frameserving?

I have saved it as anything.vdr.avi is this right?

So the frameserve from virtualdub runs at the same time as TMPGEnc?

    Thanks for your help.

    copied from the frameserving guide.....

If TMPGenc gives you an error when opening the video.vdr.avi click on Option->Enviromental settings.
And this window appear, click on VFAPI plugin and right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and select Higher priority.
