  2. Do the discs play correctly on your PC?

What software are you using to write the VOBs/author the DVD?

Are you just writing MPEG-2 files to a DVD-R and expecting them to play in a stand-alone player?

What is the bitrate and resolution of your MPEG-2 files?

Is the audio 48KHz, or just 44.1KHz?

Have you read the "How to - author" link over on the left?

More detail on your procedure is necessary in order to determine what might be wrong.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  5. What brand of media are you using? On which brand/model stand-alones have these disks failed to play correctly?
