  1. Anyone seen this bug before? I'm using CCE 2.50 retail together with the latest DVDx 2.0 and premier video server v0.93. when using VBR multi pass ( more then one pass VBR ) it is working fine till the end of the movie ( I tried also to shorten the movie by some frames, did not help ) then it gives an error message about different checksum between the two last passes and abort the hole encoding. I tried this also with FlaskMPEG v0.6 and the error was :CCE did not get frames.

p.s. I am using win XP . It working fine with CBR and one pass VBR..

#1 delete the "vaf" file and try again. Is it OK now?

    No?

    Then

#2 double-click on the file window to bring up the "source range" window. It should bring up the input movie and "IN" "OUT" frame numbers.

Change the "OUT" frame to one less than whatever it says (so it stops a frame "early").

I think it's CCE that misreports frame #'s to itself, so often it will see one more than it should, and crashes. You'd think they could do a better job for a $1000+ program, but no.

    Good luck!

Both programs canīt do real multipass with cce. Thatīs because of the way cce counts (it counts the first frame as frame 0 and not as frame 1).

For DVDx use first a cbr encoding (with .vaf). Then start again with multipass set to 1 (not higher) and cce finds the vaf and immediately does the .m2v encoding.

For Flask either use a special Multipass Flask version or the multipass XMPEG versions.

  4. Thanks for your replays.
For homerpez> As you said erasing the .vaf file did not work.
I tried decreasing the OUT by one and it did not help ( still CCE
Error massage). Did you try this sequence? Can you be more
specific with the instruction , so , I will be sure that I doing the
    correct sequence.
For mb1 > It worked perfect when running twice ( cbr & vbr one pass ) ,
but , what is the point doing this work for ONE PASS VBR ?!
Which version of FlaskMPEG support multi pass ( I tried v0.6
    and it failed)

  5. simply use avisynth for frameserving!

it's much faster and u'll have no problems with CCE.
