im not a expert on this subject but, from what i know... you need to special mod chip and do something to the ps2 disc tray (open the face or something so you can swap discs).

and its possible to play the discs without a dvd burner (yes even for dvd games). how does it work? well a big PS2 dvd game is burned on several cd-rs (say medal of honor: frontline is one dvd but can be burned on 3 cds). so the game comes in several parts instead of one big part. once you finished one cd (its broken up so that there is a save point at the end of the cd-r) you save, then swap discs and continue playing!

im no expert like i said, but i know that its possible.

  3. if you have a DVD-R drive, you just copy the disc like normal. You will need a Mod-chip of some sort to play these games. All PS2 games just need to be copied normally, that is it. Real simple, it's figuring out which Mod-Chip for your system is the problem.

  4. Copy them normally; however as the other people have said you need a mod trick; or you need to modify your PS2 so that you can swap disks. The problem with Swapping is that it requires either a Gameshark or an ORIGINAL UT cd. Either way; you can find many swap methods at www.ps2ownz.com

I don't yet reccomend a MODChip; they require about 30-40 wires be soldered...and what you need to solder them to is VERY small

  5. there are non soldering modchips for the ps2 ya know. Go to www.gamegizmo.com they got some pretty good deals for non-soldering mod-chips and installation guides.

  6. I can't find anywhere on the net where they talk about burning a DVD game to a cd-r for the ps2. How could this be possible cuz you need all the files on the disc so it will be read right and I don't see how any program can split the files up properly so that you can have multiple disc that will have a DVD game on it.

Latest messiah chip will do without swapping any backups CD,CD-RW,DVD-R,DVD-RW? no problem. you can check the size of the files and split under 700MB ( limit of a CD). The problem is you may lose some title sound and intro animation part. I got cheap ps2 from www.ebgames.com for $169 then messiah chip from lik-sang.com. If you don't know how get someone who can do soldering for you.
