I have nero 5.5.5.1 and have installed the svcd encoder plug in when i try to convert avi files to svcd it tells me that it couldnt open the avi file please help ?????????????????

you need to convert the avi to mpeg using TMPGenc.
Read the EDIT section in the green at the left it will guide you through it.
