    Just got a new Pioneer DVR-A04 DVD burner, with win 2k software bundle.
    Problem is that I have a nt system.

    I'm looking for free or trial software that would convert avi and mov to dvd mpeg on NT.

    Try tmpgenc. It's free and I'm pretty sure it works with NT.

    Otherwise now would be a good time to upgrade.
