  1. I don't know what happened, but recently, my captures using the xtasy 5564 capture card, with windvr on widows xp has a large white bar across the screen when played back on the PC. This happens no matter what the settings are, dvd, vcd etc. This happens also with the Ulead software as well as the windvr. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both programs, and all the card wdm and video drivers. PLEASE HELP!

  2. I have the same thing when I capture a Disney tape (Lion King). Looks great during the capture, but when I play it back (to the pc or on vcd) it has a large white band in the middle of the screen. I assume it is some copyright protection, but haven't figured out which one. Anyone have any advice??

  3. That same thing happened to me when I upgraded my capture drivers to 1.11 from Asus. It did not matter what movie or what I was capturing. Looked great during capture but then a white bar when playing it back. I went back to the 1.08 drivers and all is well. Hope this helps.

  4. I tried an earlier wdm (not sure which version), but it didn't make any difference. Any more suggestions? Thanks

  5. I stand corrected. I went and got the 1.08 wdm drivers from nvidia (visionteks site only had the 1.11 version). The white bar is gone. Thanks!

  7. The white bar is Macrovision but it looks like you've beat it.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

  8. What exactly is Macrovision?

  9. Copy protection used on most DVDs and most VHS tapes in the last 10 years or so.

  10. Here is what to do. Use the latest windvr program, 1.8 I believe, and 1.08 wdm. Fixes all of this. Do any of you have audio synch problems with mpeg 2?
