  1. Hi,

    Just playing around with TMPGEnc and the quicktime plugin.

    When I try to create a mpeg for a vcd using ntsc and setting it to 16x9 ratio and sound is set to stereo, I get no sound from the final mpeg clip.

    The audio source is the same file the video source is. The mov clip does have sound to it or it does when I play it in quicktime.

    Any Idea?

    Thanx =)

  2. Extract audio using Virtualdub.Save as a WAV the re-encode using resulting Wav as audio source

    The Two versions of VirtDub I tried won't open mov....but maybe theres a special filter....Any how....
    I use TMPG for everytyhing and never had a problem till I was trying to convert some mov files to mpeg1 for vcd's. TMPG would run a bit then give me some "illegal" error. This will help the situations wher TMPG fails..
    I tryed every program I had then down loaded a few more ...this was the best guide:
    http://nickyguides.digital-digest.com/mov2avi.htm
    It worked where the 3 others I picked off the net failed.....in short download radvideos tool....Use it to convert the mov to an avi....then use your encoder (i use TMPG) to go from avi to mpeg1. Any problems see link above...for radvideo tool see link above .....
