I know that it is impossible to copy a movie DVD by a DVD burner like Pioneer A04; however, I am wondering if there is a software which can copy (burn) a DVD-R (DVD copier) by Pioneer A04. All I want to do is simply to make a copy from some home DVD movies which I have on Pioneer DVD-R (4.7 G). If somebody has any information, I would apreciate reply my question. Thanks

If you have a DVD rom drive and the pioneer A04 in the same machine, use Nero 5.5.8.x to do a direct DVD copy.
If you do not have the equipment listed, simply copy all the files from the video_ts folder of your source disk onto your HD, then insert a blank DVD-r and again use nero to burn as DVD-video!
Simple really -
Ok, I am going to be thick, if you have a NON protected disk, i.e. a home movie that you want to copy, can you just load up nero and click disk copy, even with a dvd. Does that not work?
I have done that with data dvd`s, never tried it with video disk, but if it is not protection should work. Prehaps I miss understand nero -
If they're not encrypted just do disk copy .... works fine.
Nero is ok for this but personally I prefer Gear DVD, not quite as clunky.
Cheers .... -
Actually, copying a non protected commercial DVD probably wont work by just direct copying. Commercial DVDs are normally dual layer and hold far more than the 4.7Gb of a blank. You would need to seperate the video and audio streams from the orginal VOB files, re-encode the video file to a lower bitrate, and then author your new DVD-R disc.
If you have created a DVD-R yourself and want to copy that then as the other posters have stated, simply choose 1:1 copy in your dvd writing software if you have both a dvd writer and a dvdrom drive.
