Hi all, I hope someone helps me
I bought a Dazzle DVC-II 5 months ago and since that day I've been trying to cap directly to MPEG-2...I get an error saying "No video source detected"
I tried using RCA and S-Video cables but I still get the same error
my source is DTV
thx

Is your input source powered on and playing? You'll get that error if (for instance) you have a VCR hooked up but it's not powered on. Just having cables plugged in doesn't matter, it needs to have a live signal before the software will do anything.

I just bought a DVC II... had the same problem, after calling tech support I was told that the DVC II has compatability problems with Athlon and Southbridge chipsets. ? Don't know if that helps, but I thought I would post.

There is a compatibility list out for the various motherboards/CPUs with the DVC II. Check it out at:

As an example, KT133 chipsets do not work correctly, but KT133a sets do. -
oh, thx but it can cap VCD properly...I'll try turning on the VCR...thx
I'll return if I have more problems
