  1. Do somebody know how to convert XVCD (MPEG1, 704x576, 25 fps) to DVD (MPEG2, others parameters do not change)
    ... without recompressing !
At least keeping all GOPs unchanged !

I got .m1v file but no authoring program wants to use it !
    Authoring programs wants
    either MPEG-2 704 or 720 x 576
    either MPEG-1 352 x 288.

I search for a simple way to convert MPEG-1 to regular MPEG-2
    (just adding the MPEG-2 header)

Many people here use to de-/remux Mpeg-2 to "pseudo MPEG-1". Go the opposite way. Load the MPEG-1 into TMPG's MPEG tools, demultiplex. Then Remultiplex with either TMPG or bbMPEG.

  3. This does not work : video stream stays MPEG-1 after multiplexing it. Only the system stream is MPEG-2. My authoring program is not fooled by this.

Do you known some authoring program who would accept this ?
