READ ERROR at Adress xxxx

I've got a problem, which while searching I found posted from more than one other user. But I found no solution by now.

Perhaps somebody can help me:
Quite often at a lot of different states TEMPGEnc brings me an "Read Error at address xxxx".
I tried different versions as well as two completely different PCs.

Does anybody know an common error or bug and a workaround?

I have seen this on a couple of SVCD downloads I have converted to VCD. The only workaround I have found is to use TmpGenc mpeg tools to demultiplex the original mpeg stream, re-encode video only, then re-multiplex.
