dvd into pc then into vcd or svcd???possible???

i have a dazzle II, im tryin run my dvds into my cpu and convert into vcd's. instead of having to do it the long way with rippin and all those steps. does anyone if it is possible and what kind of quality am i going to get. thanks in advance.
