    I am converting a PAL 2.35:1 widescreen dvd to vcd for playback thru pal 4:3 tv in tmpgenc and i have had trouble preserving the aspect of the original. I tried source aspect: 16:9 pal and aspect: 4:3 pal. it works but leaves 1.5 cm black bars at side how do i get rid of them? help appreaciated.

    Did you check if you can see the black bars on your TV?
    (I will most probably not on your Tv set)
