  1. Sup...guys.....I downloaded a dvd-rip of a movie and wanted to convert it to mpeg so that I could burn it onto a vcd.....Before I started converting I split the file in half using Virtual dub and then using the split parts of the file I extracted the wav from both of them....I then went on to convert the 1st part of the movie to mpeg..It worked great..then I started converting the second part.....when It was done converting I played the file and noticed that the audio was completely out of sync.....I then re-traced my steps and looked at the split avi source file from which I converted the mpeg...I notcied that even this avi file was out of sync but for some reason the first one wasn't......so what my question to u is.....how can I put the audio for my mpeg file in sync again....???..

  2. I've had that problem as well and rather than splitting the AVI file with V-Dub,I encode the whole movie then split the MPEG with TMPGE.
It works for me every time.

  3. Oh...and 1 other thing.
It may be better to extract the audio as WAV with V-Dub first and use it as Audio Source in TMPGE.
