    I can't figure it out
    Why some of the movies I download & burn the audio sounds so bad. Like they're talking under water

    Some are compressing the sound so much, its very bad. You need to save out the AVI (Uncompressed) in Vdub, then load into www.goldwave.com and normalize it, and anything else it needs to improve the quality, Then save.

    Now use the WAV with TMPGEnc to convert to VCD mpeg as normal.
