I've been copying for some time now ( with no probs) vcd, divx etc. Just got a DVD writer (Pioneer 103).
Cant seem to be able to get more than 2 films on a DVD disk.First I use TMPG, then tryed several different programs.
Ulead DVD Workshop, DVDIT, Roxio Video Pack etc.
When I used DVD Workshop, I can get 2 films ( approx 1.8gb) + Menu = 3.7gb..super!.
When I use VCD format to burn, I get message unsuitable disk format.
Is there a way I can get more than 2 films on a dvd, and does it revolve around the encoding process?.
Please help guys, as i'm feed up with the coasters!

if u use spruce up u should b able to get 3 or 4 films on a disk by convertin ur avis to mpeg1 (encode audio at 48000hz). Ive had pretty good results from this however spruce up is shit n ur resulting dvd might not werk on ur dvd player.
If u encode an mpeg2 at low bitrates, ull get awful quality over run by blocks thus about 2 films is all ull get on a dvd-r if its dvd mpeg2.
I use ulead dvd workshop, i shove all my avis in there n let ulead convert (minimum bitrate of about 2200 CBR) from that i get 2 very nice quality movies on 1 dvd-r
