  1. Hi folks. This site is a godsend for relative neonates to the
SVCD and VCD world like myself.

I have successfully done several backups of my favorite movies
and found at the beginning that TMPG just wasn't cutting it
    with the audio.

I am now using VOB2AUDIO to rip the wave file
and then parsing it together using TMPG.
I use toolame and SSRC as external plugins in TMPG and it
has been working fine, but now it always jams when it is creating
the temporal audio file to link to the video.

    Questions.
    1. Could this be caused by fragmentation on my hard drive ?
    2. Any other ideas as to why this happens ?
    3. How do I use besweet as my external audio plugin for
    TMPG.

    Thanks for any help
(I think I used a pinoy or sefy guide for the toolame audio)

  2. From what you are saying, it appear you used Pinoy's guide, i'm not familiar with the VOB2Audio program.

Have you tried of maybe using my guide and see if that works for you ? i'll try getting Pinoy's attention to this post, so maybe he can help you out with the VOB2Audio program.

  3. Thanks for the help.
VOB2AUDIO is a program that does just what it says it does.
I was just thinking that perhaps besweet would do the same thing
with less trouble, but I am not sure how to do that.

Which guide of yours would you suggest I use for good dolby digital
sound on my SVCD's ? (NOT DTS, just Dolby Stereo I suppose)

  4. You can use any of the guides, and see how you like the quality, I always use the method of Smart Ripper + DVD2AVI + TMPGEnc, and works great for me

  5. I've used your guide for everything but the audio and I have
gotten wonderful results. Thanks a million, couldn't have gotten
off the ground and through the technobabble without it.

I will give DVD2AVI another chance
and see what happens. How many audio channels does DVD2AVI
    support ?

To figure out what track of audio I want
I assume I can just look at the information file generated by
    smartripper ?

  6. Yup, basicly the information file will give you the details you need regarding the audio track locations, so you shouldn't have any problems there.

But please post back any good or bad experiment you had.
