no audio when capturing video

did some first time capturing my movie, however there was no sound coming out of the speaker.I use the ulead program. I am also trying this new TMPEG encoder to encode to Divx. if there is anyone there
that knows more about this stuff please let me know. I am using a p2 400MHZ to do video capture. I am also using p4 1.6 gig to encode to dvix
this is my first project and if there is someone that can guide me through this will be appreciated....

what are ur system specs.... we need to know your video card and your video card to better help you. Have you checked if your aux in is on mute or if the volume is set low?

I'm fairly new tovideo editing also and had a similar problem.
Heres how i fixed my problem,

1. Open windows audio properties and make sure the line in is selected for your recording properties. This is something thats very simple to overlook.

This worked for me, hopes it helps.
