Over the last few days I have been unable to see any video when trying to
use my AIW Pro 128 File Player 7.1 software

I get the audio with no problem, but, either the video is "stuck" showing
only the first frame. Or showing nothing at all except for the player's
    control window.

This happens no matter what the type of video (MPEG 1-2, AVI, etc.)

I have tried to play the MPEG files in other players (Quick
Time/MediaPlayer) but only with limited results. Some play, other that did
play now come up with a warning that a decoder is missing.

What happen? Did a decoded file(s) get erased or something?

And How do I fix it?

try un-installing your codecs and then re-installing them. :P

How/What codecs to un-install and then re-installing them?

Do you mean reinstalling AIW File Player 7.1? - I am doing that

I have made a test of my video playing software and have found that only File Player and Window's Media Player seems to be the only ones that can't play MPEG or AVI files.

Quick Time - WinDVD - TMPGE - ULEAD has no trouble with these files.

The problem seems to lie in those programs that need Media Player's codecs to play MPEG/AVI files.

So, How do I un-install them, and get any new ones (just the codecs NOT the player)?
